  • @drwhatson Unusual that it wasnt released as a single in the UK, it was released on Atlantic over here

  • Nobody's mentioned that it's on his "Higher And Higher" LP (which is how most people in the UK heard it, I suspect, as it wasn't released on 45 here), or that the song was written by Van McCoy!

  • The man..ktf..

  • @adymanifold Thanks! It's even more recent than I thought. So that should be a CD and not an LP. Problem is that for the moment I filed all the 20 songs under 1960 but when it'll be time to deal with a more serious compilation (Bear Family or something like that) I will put them in their correct chronological order. See ya!

  • @ENACODNOM The Dynamic Jackie Wilson [Charly CPCD 8018] 1993 England

  • @adymanifold Not at all, what I meant is that with some extra care, you could post the same photos you have in a clearer way; unless it's because of the tools you have at your disposal? Anyway, images is just an extra plus: as you say, what counts is the music. By the way, since you're a JW specialist, can you tell me when was released the double LP with 20 tracks, THE DYNAMIC JACKIE WILSON? AllMusic Guide said 1960, but one of its tracks was recorded in 1973!!! Looks like an H.G. Wells story!

  • @ENACODNOM No, but a critic shouldn't assume that anyone that posts music on YouTube is desperate to become the next Steven Speilberg. For me this is only about sharing great music with like minded individuals. Suggesting that I should "practice more" is condescending and rude.

  • @adymanifold Now, wait a minute. Does a critic have to do the same things as the one he's criticizing? I left at my ex's all my LPs collection (about 600) and even if I had them here with me, I'm not so good with technology to do those things you do. What I do is tagging and bookmarking singers' discographies, preferably in chronological recording order. I have several of yours too since I am working on Jackie Wilson, and this is how I noticed that the sound is always very good, but not images!

  • @ENACODNOM Thanks for the critique. Have you produced any videos I can learn from?

  • @adymanifold Very good sound, but you should practice more on the pictureslides!
