This song spoke to me <3. I had lived in a broken family all my life, with shared custody and monthly visitations. I was terrified of the weeks I had to stay with him, because I knew what was waiting for me when I got there. I was afraid maybe I'd grow up to be as corrupted as him. The first time I'd heard this song was the week I finally broke away from his abuse and spoke up for myself. This song reminds me that I no longer have to feel trapped and out of options, because I'm finally free <3
