What people need to realize, is that comment I posted was in response to someone ages before the whole @person reply.

And on a slightly different topic, if you're genre-dropping, do it right, Neurosis isn't post-rock, far too heavy, plus the harsh vocal style in all their work. They've gone from being hardcore punk, to sludge, to post-metal. and with saying that, it's amazing how much their style has changed over the years.

@piepermatthew god i wish people would do some homework before commenting. Neurosis has been together for 26 years!!!! and scott kelly wrote and did vocals for some mastodon. every band in this genre, isis, mastodon, baroness, etc. etc. will gladly admit being influenced by neurosis, they are the originators.

@shaytan1313 no offense but Mastodon and this band dont sound anything alike. This band sounds a lot more like Down the Sun or something along those lines but I just dont hear the similarities.

neurosis is one ov the best bands EVER!!! - i like how mastodon tried to rip em off and then went mainstream!! f-in gay!! pantera& neurosis - pepsi colloseum -'98 indianapolis- one ov the best shows ever and i saw every pantera show till they started the ozzfest crap

I was at that Pantera, and Neurosis show in Seattle. Clutch was there as well. Neurosis opened up, and slayed it as usual! My fav band of all time! Too bad Clutch, and Pantera fans didn't know what the fuck was going on.
