your turolas need to get that low g sound other than that sounds good
-
Great job other than the slurs in lochenside. Ruins a beautiful tune IMO.
-
need to get a wee bit of control over your tempo i suppose its much easier when playing with a band but your tempo is very up and down but almost perfect playing in my opinion
-
I know what you mean. Many times I tend to play them relatively fast, and then have to really think on it and realize that I was playing about twice as fast as it should be
:o Doublings really are a pain sometimes :b but it's what makes the pipes unique :D
-
play it properly first then play about with it
-
I know this problem, i often get to fast at playing an tune too!
My teacher always tell me to close the drones, because doesnt need so much air and would be playing more relaxed!
He always say not who is playing fast is an good Piper only who´s playing slow and nicely correct movements (Doublings) is an good Piper!
Kindest regards
Andreas

Something I was told as I was getting lessons eons ago, think about it in terms of marching... do you really wanna be running while trying to play this??? Try tapping both feet as though marching and see how you do then. Also listen to how others play it such as bands and you'll see how slow it should be... other than that good job. I love these, some of my favorites :)
