It's not that your dad doesn't love you so much as the fact he loves himself too fucking much to be any kind of selfless. Im in a very similar situation with my father- you didn't do anything wrong hunny, there are some people who excuse themeselves from responsibility because they are just too god damn insecure to deal with it. X

Please don't let your parents be the ones from whom you determine your worth. Parents like that are fuck ups. You see what a mistake it is to judge someone by their appearance. Looks don't make a person who they are, it's their actions and character. If you're dad can't see what an awesome and beautiful person you are, he can fuck off. You deserve better anyway.

Jill I'm sorry you had this go on. First, I'm glad to hear your grandma will be alright. Honestly, I'd call your father out on his shit. Even if you're talking to his answering machine. I'd demand to know why he couldn't contact you and tell you this. If he's a real man he'll provide you with an answer to your question.

I thought about that & my husband said the same thing, but I want to ask him to his face. I want him to see the rage & hurt that he made me feel. It would be too easy for him to just hang up the phone on me or to just let the answering machine pick up. I will be patient & wait, and wait, and wait, and wait.....until the time I do see him! THEN, I will fucking EXPLODE!
