  • Thank you for your comment. I like to help those viking owners because I know how hard is to operate a machine without any instruction or guide.

  • Me again about the heavy duty thread... I needed to use heavy duty thread for easing a larger piece of upholstery naugahyde onto a smaller piece... and when trying to gather by hand the lighter thread kept on breaking... I was using a leather needle and regular thread...

Sorry I responded to your question but I did not send it. You can use heavy thread in the top and polyester in the bobbin because is more strong. Use topstitch or denim needle for heavy fabric For gathering heavy fabric use a heavy thread or cord and sew it with small zigzag and then pull it. Let me know if I was helping you with my advise. Thanks Raquel

Leather needles are only for leather and artificial leather, this needle is not suitable for textiles.. Topstitch, Denim and Sharp needles are stronger and the points are sharp. Topsitch needle has large eye. If you need any more help let me know. If I don't know the answer I will find it out for you.

    Thanks

    Raquel

  • I will do more videos teaching the SE, and other machine like sergers, but it will be taking a little time. Keep let me know what you need.

    Thanks

  • Just wanted to say I enjoy your videos! You do a great job explaining everything. Thank You!

  • Raquel can I use heavy duty upholstery thread in my Husqvarna Designer SE... my seller (a sales person for the store) told me that I should use heavy duty thread in the needle but regular in the bobbin... that does not sound right to me and I was having trouble winding the bobbin with heavy duty thread which is why I called them in the first place Thanks for your viseo... was a big help!

  • Great idea Raquel, especialy for those who don't have the time to sit for several hours on a class. It is very convenient, you can learn in the comfort of your home, at your own pace, any time you want. I hope you make more videos and also will like to see some on the serger 936. Thanks

    Aida
