type-x is a sealed box sub and the t2 is geared towards a ported box, so naturally the t2 would be louder if each was in the box its made for....but a type-x will do well ported but lose some of its sq due to its weak motor. But will sound prolly better then the t2 and be just as loud

@SenorDennis heck yea! jl is way too hyped, kicker is purely pound for pound the best. would rate fosget over jl also. use to do installs for work and make enclosures, heard some awesome subs but kicker always comes up number one! thanks man!

Hey man,
I can let you know that these sub's absolutely pound!! This is the second one that I've owned and they are bad ass to the bone.
Only downside to them is that they are expensive. As to the TypeX comparison it would rape it in how loud it is, and should compare decently well with how good it sounds. But that's just my opinion.
If you want a price on T2's, let me know. I'm a dealer.
