I shot and edited this video for Fishman Transducers Inc for the release of their new acoustic imaging DI pedal, the Aura Spectrum DI.

  • He starts playing at 4:38.

  • Sounds really amazing & clean with no artifacts! But I can't believe Fishman creates a cool unit like this with compression & anti-feedback & leaves out reverb. Every acoustic player needs some reverb when you can't rely on the effects-illiterate guy running the board who can dry you out in a hurry.

  • i like it at about 9 o' clock blend ...

  • And by the way... I audited these samples through my Genelec studio monitors, and I'm a sound engineer... so I do know about mono, stereo and the danger of judging audio stuff using crappy computer speakers... stills sounds crap to me, except for the bluegrass sample.

  • What's wrong with the sound? Whenever the Fishman is turned on in this video, esp. playing the steel string, it sounds to me like the guitar is under water. Artefacts? I can't believe it would actually sound like this, no one would buy it...

  • @fishmanacoustic Does this work with a sound hole pickup?

  • @GuitarScratchRemover Turning the "blend" all the way to the wet signal should give you some reverb; the pedal is designed to simulate an acoustic guitar being miced, so there should be some natural reverb of the "room" that the image is using.

  • @footstomper1 Easy fix, go get some glow in the dark paint from a hobby store and put a dab on the notch on the knob. Silly knob design, but no big deal.

  • @jackofthediamonds Hi There. This video was not posted by Fishman Acoustic Amplification. We haven't noticed your post. Aura Imaging is created in the analog world with real mics and real instruments. The sounds captured are turned into digital algorhythms and housed in the ASDI. Feel free to contact us on Facebook or the Fishman YouTube channel for more info. Thanks.

  • @Sjjags No sorry.

  • @arcolerh Not at this time

  • @MassimoPetrucci Hi, this video was not posted by Fishman Acoustics YouTube channel but, we'd like to respond to your question. Some have had success with piezo equipped electric guitars. The ASDI was invented with the intention of making your "acoustic" sound as if it were "miced". Fishman did not intend to model other acoustics but to match your acoustic sound and represent your instrument as closely as possible. Thanks.
