  • When editing my films i'm using all my original clips from my HD Sony Bloggie filming in 1280x720 60p and import all the files normally but i have to render the clips over and over again every time i do something to it even with simple things like over lapsing two clips... Is this normal for the clips i'm using cause they're HD or have i missed something???? Also it takes an annoyingly long time to render my footage even with short clips???

  • @FilmsSeymour I dunno what to tell you man, when you have to render, you HAVE to render. Maybe try Googling specific tips for that type of footage

  • what settings do you use to export like what compression type do yu use h.264 or dv ntsc

  • @rxtrerx hmm I don't know the exact settings cuz I use Final Cut Pro now and always export using Compressor. Maybe check google?

  • how can i turn my video into a format that will allow me to burn to dvd??

  • @TMTPTV just export it as a quicktime and iDVD should convert it when you bring it in. if you are using another program you should export it as a MPEG-2 DVD

  • OMFG 2 hours for 4 minutes worth of video :'(

  • Thanks for the help. LOL I hate how sometimes the answers are so simple.

  • you sound like greyson chance

  • i was just about to hit the x button on all this rambling. but i did get the info i needed so...thanks. i guess.

  • Hearing your voice reminds me of how I got started doing so many things on the computer: From my kids! You have done an exemplary job here by simply remembering to teach us the basics. I plan to watch all of your FCE videos. I think you're awesome.

  • my biggest problem is Ive been shooting some really nice stuff with my canon 7D in 24p 1920x1080 and when i put the stuff off of my HDD onto my computer's desktop the video looks fine, but it's when I try to import it and render it into fcp that the video quality gets awful,. The 7D makes near-to-film images but when fcp is done with it, it looks worse than a sd webcam... now Ive tried many ways to trans code it in mpeg streamclip, but I don't think it has any relation,

  • Man, are there any tutorials that aren't made by kids that waste time saying UM and UH?
