Very good job! It look better than a lot of hollywood movies. Where is that building? It's pretty nice too.

@montotosk You flatter me, good sir! The building is the Royal Palace in Madrid, Spain (pretty nice, indeed). Thanks for commenting.

cool effect, nice animation :D

That small camera shake made it look bad.

The smoke should've come out just a tad bit slower imo.

Would have been better with a fumefx and rayfire, but still good

@ArsenaultMuzic ... Thanks. I'm pretty sure neither of those are available for After Effects (and especially not back when I first made this). Besides, I barely knew AE at the time, and was mostly interested in seeing "what can I do with 'stock' After Effects?" I ended up using Particular for the smoke and some of the dust/debris etc., but still, everything else was stock AE only (i.e. no prematted footage etc.).
There's only so much you can get out of the stock platform really.

I wanna try this with sony vegas! would be cool if I could do the same (or better :P, oh no, thats pritty impossible) btw how long have you been working on this?

@MrFireballie I'm not familiar enough with Vegas to say, but I know it to be NLE software, and not necessarily for compositing like AE (I could be wrong though). This took me about a day if I remember correctly (it was one of the first visual effects I created in AE, not to mention it was over 3 years ago).
