Google Chrome updated recently with some OS X Lion style features (finally!), including touch gestures for moving backwards and forwards through your history, something Safari does really nicely. I think the Google implementation leaves a lot to be desired.
In this video, I navigate through three pages, then use gestures (finger swipes on my Magic Mouse) to show how the animation looks in Safari first, then compare with Google Chrome. Safari makes the navigation direction clear, while Chrome only adds confusion to what should be a really intuitive gesture.
The animation of the arrows that pop up in the Chrome animation appear jerky in this video. They are usually nice and smooth, but the screen recording seemed to make a difference. Chrome doesn't get a pass on this though, as Safari's animation still remained nice and smooth.
