LONDON, OH -- William Gunthrup was arrested by London Ohio police in April 2009 after London, OH Police department conducted an investigation involving drug trafficking that occurred October 2010. William stated the police did not complete an accurate investigation and complained law enforcement misconduct was involved.
According to William, he did not know the main suspect was involved in trafficking when he drove her to a local KFC and was also unaware she was involved in drugs until after that day. He claimed the London police misused information that led to his arrest six months after the incident.
PCC staff spoke to the lead investigator, Sgt Litchfield, who stated Gunthrup "had an addiction to young girls (over the age of 18)"; however, Litchfield would not clearly state how William was actually involved in the investigation.
A Freedom of Information (FOIA) request was made with the London police Department for the police report involving William's arrest. The results of the request is pending and an ongoing investigation is underway.
