Exploding Flint

This video shows how to turn any lighter (I used a bic in this case) into an explosive fire show.

Materials:
2 Lighters (one dead, one alive)
A prying tool

How it works:
The flint (which is actually Ferrocerium) has a low ignition temperature (150-180 celsius) so heating it makes the substance unstable. The force of it hitting the ground results in an explosive reaction with burning metal flying in every direction. This is similar to the sparks seen when using a lighter normally.

@werewolfofzion1 Yes is could... the effect occurs simply because of the ferrocerium composition of the "flint", not because of anything special about what they use in the lighter.

@FlashDusk What you are talking about is making a crack in the fluid tank and causing it to explosively decompress. This, on the other hand, makes the ferrocerium unstable.
