  • is there no single spot of land for them? just those branches that stick out of the water? You should make 'm a land part... Tank is little too small for two adult CWD's aswell =( sorry mate

  • @TheSauropsidian - There is a bucket of soil and 2 concretet basking's area built onto the background. This tank was specialy modified for a little rescue dragon we taken on that had a broken pelvis, and could not climb, sadly she had to be put to sleep, but thanks for your concern. Also if you do your homework, CWD's dont live on land, but on branche's over water :D

  • We used a turtle filter, which is designed for only a few inches of water, and once about every 6 weeks, totaly change the water, as you would a fish tank :)

  • Im unsure of the gallon's, but its 4 feet long, we are in the process of builing a topper for it :)

  • @gemmatony10 I have the same tank! I want to do that with the water in the bottom! :P Right now mine just has a kitty litter box filled with water, but having more water like yours, he would love that :D What do you use for land? Just limbs? Or is there actually a surface spot in there? If you could to tell me that would be awesome! I'm sure my little Zameus would be very happy ^-^

  • @RaccoonKit There is a basking point built out on the background, kinda like a shelf, they never used it lol, only lounged in the branches, jumping in and out of the water :)

im pretty sure that iv read every care sheet and alot of books about them and it does not say that they purely live in trees, they are arboreal yes and if thats what you mean by living in branches over water then obviously did not do your homework because arboreal means living among trees :) and with personal experience know that they need land especially females either pregnant or not need ground to lay there eggs and no there not like birds the wont lay there eggs in trees.

  • I used to have a Chinese water dragon like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • That looks like an iguana

  • i can not wait for mines to grow to that size

  • water tempeture is the water in that tank?? I recently got a chinese water dragon so my dad and i are setting up a tank for him and i just want to know so he won't die days later

  • @rippentinners you shouldnt put crickets in its tank because they lay eggs.meal worms will burrow and turn into bettles.
