Sisters of St. Francis at Stella Niagara, NY

Stella Niagara was built in 1908 as the North American motherhouse of the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity. Today it is the administrative center for one of ten international provinces and five missions whose members follow the way of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi and founder Mother Magdalen Damen. Sponsored institutions include Stella Niagara Educational Park, the Center of Renewal, The Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart, and Francis Center in Niagara Falls, as well as a mission in Chiapas, Mexico. Sisters serve in Western New York, Ohio, West Virginia, Florida, New Jersey, Kentucky, New Mexico; Ontario, Canada; and Tanzania.

What a unique experience!!! Attended the Seminary of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart from 1956 to 1962. Eternally grateful of my parents for the opportunity of attending such a prestigious institution. What unforgettable moments!!! Plan to visit during late summer 2010. N.Rexach

I went to school at Stella Niagara Education Park from 1983-1994 They just celebrated their 100th anniversary last year.
