Yep you've got to pronounce the S of vis, whenever single or several.
You can translate BOLT by BOULON (a flat screw with a 6 sides head)
You can translate NUT by ECROU (the "female" part getting on this BOULON)

Merci, Imagiers. On prononce, donc, le 's' du mot 'vis'....
Mais comment dire en francais a 'nut' (ie 'nut and bolt'). Est-ce 'écrou' ou je me trompe? :- )
