  • Nice piece. I enjoyed watching this. How do you make your colors so translucent? Or is there where you use the acrylics? Do you know a way of making gouache more color fast?

  • @davevanfunk -- oops, didn't realize that there was a reply button to your specific comments. So here it is again: When you buy your gouache, check the rating of that particular paint. All manufacturers rate their paints for colorfastness, and you should use only the highest rated paints. For the translucent look -- I layer my paint on in very thin layers. The acrylic is just the final coating to protect it, since I do not frame these pieces under glass. Thank you for your comment!
