Funeral service for Army Spc. Tony Jerold Gonzales of Newman, CA, Jan. 7, 2009 at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA.
Gonzales, 20, of Newman was in an Army Humvee when an improvised explosive device detonated near the vehicle in Sadr City, Iraq. He was killed in the attack.
I went to basic training with Gonzo. We were both stationed in Baumholder, Germany. We lost contact there, but when we did run into each other he always said hi. I heard of his passing while we were deployed, gone but not forgotten. Hooah!
I love you man forever and always your buddy till the end...
