4/29/11 - Here is video of a taped message Gov. Mitt Romney sent to the 2011 NRA Convention. Romney thanked the organization and members for all it does to defend the 2nd Amendment Rights of Americans. Romney called for adhering to the U.S. Constitution, and keeping the nation the way the Founders intended - where the people are sovereign rather than the government. Romney said, "I believe in America, I believe in Free Enterprise," and declared, "I don't apologize for America, because I believe in America. I believe in freedom and opportunity. I believe in the Constitution as it was written and intended by the Founders."

Romney seemed to take a veiled shot at Barack Obama toward the end by saying he joined with Americans who are "proud to place their hands over their hearts when they hear the strains of their National Anthem."

  • Fuck you Mormon cult piece of shite trying to destroy America.

  • I was for gun control before I was against (in french) - mitt romney

  • Mitt Romney spews shit that people want to hear. If he had his way, this liberal dick would enforce strict gun control on America.

  • Herman Cain!! I'm a white man from Dallas, Texas! A staunch conservative gun owner. I have a CHL. I hunt...I own several guns. I'm 37 years old. Yes, I am also a devout Christian Herman Cain has my vote. Outspoken! Conservative! Brazen and a real world citizen with common sense and guts. Herman Cain!! Sad how the media would love to peg me a racist. Why? Because of the color of my skin (white) and the fact I vote Republican. How sad. The Democrat party is the ruin of our nation and I believe th

  • Obama who I believe if he was given the chance would make it illegal to own or possess any firearm, but after saying all of that Obama has not signed anything to ban any firearm in America. Mitt Romney cannot make the same claim because as Gov. Romney in Mass. he signed a bill to forever make the ownership of assault weapons illegal forever. Google Romney lying about why he signed the bill. It will make you sick.

  • Hmmm.....I would like to support Mitt Romney, but first, I have to ask myself, "Would I buy a used car from this guy?" ..... Of course, if Obomber gets a second term, he will take us over the cliff into hyperinflation, so we need a change, since we did not get the HOPE & CHANGE! So, it is Ron Paul or ......?

  • @DrBiochemGuy Mitt Romney shepherded through one of the most restrictive "assault weapon" bans in the country. He basically took the Clinton AW ban, made it even more restrictive, and made it permanent. At the time there wasn't even that much pressure for him to pass the thing...No Tuscon-like tragedy or anything like that. He has since said that because the numbers show that it didn't really do anything, it might not have been such a good idea. So us Mass residents have to just live with it.

  • @timothyg413 Can you give some details? It is my understanding that MA was the most anti-gun state long before Romney took office. Did he make it worse or did he pass an opportunity to make it better? Please explain. Thanks.
