what he was thinking:
"We need a co 2 tax, so that more people will buy MY company's oil, and Then I can make more money."

@gnomomayor Venus is, on average, slightly hotter that mercury, but mercury's temperature is erratic.

@gnomomayor Venus' temperature is on average slightly higher than mercury but the temperature on mercury is unstable.
-
Or maybe it has to do with the fact that Venus is on average 30 million miles closer to the sun?
-
Venus is hotter than Mercury, which is way closer to the sun.

Are you always this much of an idiotic fool. or is this just a glich in your mental faculties?

Okay, I hadn't realized that good old Al has tried to compare the carbon dioxide content of Venus to that of Earth, with the implication that the airborne carbon in Venus is what makes its temperature so much higher.
Ummm, da widdle biddy fact that it is MUCH closer to the Sun might have something to do with the higher temperature on Venus, Mr. Gore. (Just another inconvenient truth.)
What. A. Moron.

Very sorry, I should have realized. I feel so Gorish.
Ummmm, Venus is closer to the sun. It's not hard to figure out it's going to be hotter, no matter how much carbon is in the air. AND PEOPLE TAKE HIM SERIOUS????

Lovely..
Gore ignores the *differences* of Venus:
A "day" that is 224 Terrestrial days long.
An orbit of the sun that is .75 as large as Earth's.
A weak magnetic field.
Almost no axial tilt.
No moon.
Massive clouds of SULFUR.
What little of the water there is, is trapped in compounds of sulfuric acid high in the atmosphere.
But don't let these facts stop a good scare story.
