Ninth song on New York Tendaberry. A sort of sequel to "The Man Who Sends Me Home", but more lyrically obtuse. I have had this song stuck in my head for the past week. The last picture, the back cover of the original artwork for New York Tendaberry, bears the "Where is the night luster? / Past my trials" lyric as an inscription, in case you can't read it. :)
I belong to the man;
Don't belong without him...
When I sleep without him,
Loneliness...
Loneliness...
My dreams with God, softly waiting...
I belong to the man....
Sweet lovin', baby, oh, sweet lovin' baby;
I want you - I could almost die...
He says, "There's gold in you darling, drew gold when I woke her;
She's an ole chain smoker...
Grace and the Preacher, blown fleets of sweet eyed dreams tonight..."
Loneliness! Comes down like loneliness, loneliness...
Natural windmill, wheel weave and bless...
My bed... my bed... my man...
My man...
Get up, oh, yeah...
That's lovin, baby... oh, sweet lovin' baby...
Where is the night luster? Past my trials...
Sparkling in flight in your arms, for all of my life...
@fairterr In a sense she's immortal.

Such a beautiful soul and voice, how she is missed!!...but with all these wonderful videos and great catalogs of music Laura will always live on and hopefully more people will be touched by her music for the first time.
