@gblan Obviously you've never used one. This is exactly what this machine does, better than any home machine with ground coffee and better than most commercial ones: perfectly extracted espresso with an exquisite crema. Why don't you actually try Nespresso before critiquing it? It's all I can do to stop from calling you a moron. Whoops!

I would have never bought this type of machines for the house, but I got it as a gift a couple of years ago, and I've liked it so much, that I've never used my Bialetti espresso maker again. This is authentic espresso, I've lived in Italy many years, and this is just as good, if not better then the espresso made at the bars in Italy. Whoever says this is not good espresso, are clueless as to what real espresso should taste like,and please don't use Starbucks as a reference, theirs is the worst.

The Ultimate Espresso? Lol no!

I'm looking for one in the UK, and have noticed the prices vary a lot. For example, the Krups XN2003 costs £80.00 and the XN200540 Titanium costs £219.98, nearly three times as much! The C100, which you used in your video, goes for £281.88! Is there a noticeable difference in the quality of the expressos, in your experience?

PODS are expensive: 0,3Euro per POD divided by 5 grams coffee content equals 66 Euro / kg - beans are between 7 and 20 Euro / kg.
If in your household you drink more than 4 coffees per day FORGET Nespresso, Dolce Gusto, Lavazza and any form of PODS.
Just buy a auto-espresso machine with grinder costing between 300 and 600 Euro. If you drink 0,5kg coffee per month, you will save (66-10)/2= 28 Euro each month, 336 Euro per year so you pay your machine in 1/2 years - after will be money for you

@renix XD u just made my day, thanks!

@drlecter9 No, around 9 bars is standard. The number 19 is meaningless marketing junk because most other cheap machines say "15 bars" and well, 19 sounds better.
-
@NespressoRatings Don't think so about what? Feel free to jump into this argument but be prepared.
-
@renix hmmm... don't think so!

Do you know NexPod? Find more on nexpod.com!
The crema is disgusting. It should never be that pale. Mottled red is what you're looking for.

Can someone tell me whats the difference between cafe latte and machiato?
audisport 2 years ago
sure. a cafe latte is 1/3 espresso and 2/3 steamed/hot milk (and no foam). a macchiato is a shot of espresso with just a dollop of foamed milk on top. macchiato literally means "stain", the foam just "stains" the coffee. and, for good measure, a cappuccino is 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk, and 1/3 foam.
