It's a marriage made in musical heaven. Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. performed together in the Grammy Award-winning Sixties vocal group The 5th Dimension, and went on to enjoy a successful career as a duo, scoring a number one hit with "You Don't Have to Be a Star (To Be in My Show)." The pair, who just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past summer, also hosted the hit TV series Solid Gold. In this episode, they open up about music, marriage and spirituality.
The people are Class Acts! Talent unsurpassed Congrats on your 40th!

They both look so great! they were such a great group during my youthful years (late 60's early 70's) they just don't make them like that anymore!

I was Born in the sixties and grew up during the birth of hip-hop. I always admired both of them. They are role models and a class act IMO.

I was fortunate enough to meet them when they performed at the La Bossier hotel in Bossier city, louisiana in 1980. I just happened to be standing in the lobby when I saw them enter the restaurant after their show. I hurridly went to car and got my album and walked up to them and asked if they could sign my album. They were very gracious. This was a dream come true for me.
