I don't think that they will have a hard copy games if that's the route that take. I doubt they will do coded copies. I think that all games will most likely be come download rather than tangible copies thuss eliminating rentals and resales. that said I'm not completely against such an idea but I will miss being able to buy used and save a few dollars
when I had an xbox360 they HATES ME... someone made me pay double for online and xbox didn't care at all. now this fck Microsoft stick to making computers
i dont like it... i just bought an ps2 console to play alot of games that i missed out on.. like kingdom hearts, silent hill, gta, and alot of other games... if they did that then i would never have a chance to play them game.
I will never buy a console that does this. There are enough games I have and haven't played on all the older consoles that will keep me busy for decades to come.
Well, considering pretty much EVERY game I buy is used I am completely against it! I don't think the rumors true anyway. It would be an extremely stupid move on Microsoft's part. I would go as far as to say Microsoft will go the way of SEGA if they do this.
It stinks because about 30 years from now, when the XBox 720 becomes a retro system, it would become very useless, because the games would most likely not work on the system. Many people buy it once and don't feel like buying it again.
But I disagree with the online pass. A used game is still inferior to the new games, because of the risk of scratches and that the label or instructions may be missing or damaged.
I also hear that Microsoft are getting rid of the Microsoft points and making people only pay by credit cards if they want stuff from online. If you ask me, I'd say that's a bad move.
I think I know of one console that I won't buy, and that no one else should.
Consider hoe many perfectly usable games will be thrown away simplu because the system won't read it.
This is a nutty rumor, but with online passes and DRM something like this could happen.
