Sen. Landrieu and LRA Director Paul Rainwater were present in New Orleans on June 20 for the arrival of misplaced FEMA supplies. The housewares had been distributed to 16 other states, after sitting in a warehouse in Texas for more than two years. Sen. Landrieu's office helped to track down the supplies, after CNN broke the news. (WDSU NBC 6, 6/20/08)

how about a plan by local and state governments to have a plan in place for such events. local politicians were quick to blame bush and the federal government.what had they done to evacuate their own how about rescuing people off roof tops? la and ms had many yrs to plan for such events.they sat on their hands, let the leeves disintergrate.bush and the feds became their scapegoats for their own many yrs of incompitance to keep themselves out of the fire.
