Wolverine (NES) Retro Commentary

Wolverine by request and just in time for the release of the new Wolverine movie this weekend. A mediocre platformer that's good by LJN standards at least.

I don't recall Sabretooth sounding like Count Chocula.

I think I managed to get to level 6 in this game, but looking back, I can't see how and I don't see why I bothered. It's not a big a turd as Back to the Future but it's still a turd.

And hopefully the new movie won't be a never-ending train wreck like X-Men 3 was. At least we got Gambit, Blob and the White Queen.

Uggh X3 is mainly what has me all sorts of turned off for the Wolverine flick. I'll be seeing it anyway just not right away.

LJN made some decent games like T&C, Friday The 13th, Elm Street, True Lies, Maximum Carnage, Gotcha and others. But the rest like X-Men, Back to the Future with more are garbage.

My major gripe with this game is that Wolverine gets absolutely no recovery time. If he had at least 1.5 seconds of recovery time between hits, this game would've been good.
