MSI Wind U123-001 - RAM Upgrade

In this video I will showing you how to upgrade the RAM on the MSI Wind U123-001 netbook from 1gb to 2gb.

The RAM I used is the PNY 2gb DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) which can be bought here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820178165

The netbook specs:

10.2" screen
160gb HDD
1gb RAM/ now 2gb RAM
Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz
GPU- GMA950
6-cell battery/ 5.5 hours of battery life

@thegoodbyeheaven Vista would be pretty slow on netbook computers due to its memory usage. I would recommend skipping Vista and going straight to Windows 7 which should be just as fast as Windows XP with all the new features and looks that windows Vista has.

@ntlane2004 If you're talking about upgrading the RAM, however, then you shouldn't have any problem with upgrading regardless of what operating system is on it. Thanks for watching!

hey im trying to upgrade my ram only i tryed a 1bg and it dident read it, i then tryed a 512 from my lap top and it dident read that either, is there someing i need to do in the OS so it reads the new Ram. Thanks in advance. p.s im running xp.
