  • stringpiano,

I greatly enjoy your videos. Your playing is strong and clear. You choose great songs to play.

Do you have a cd available for purchase?

  • Thanks, andthenor. Last issue first. No CD or any other material available, due to the simple fact that I´m a strict amateur without any schooled approach to guitarplaying at all. I first began to play in a fingerpicking way when I was thirty-somethin´, so motor-skills and fingering takes me a little longer than most teeny bobbers. Great envey :-) But....I´m a happy amateur and wouldn´t miss it for the world. That´s my point. My wife, by the way, lovingly nicks me a kichen guitarist.....

  • Thanks a lot, Dan. You´re right, rhytm is a sort of concret. A fundament within the music in all perspectives. This short impro is meant as a strict rhytmical rehearsal. Tecnically there´s no challenge in it, exept from the up-tempo. One has to caractarize this rhytmical rehearsal a shape of a song as it has not yet any genuine riffs, breaks or bridges to it.

  • Sounds very rockabilly and also ragtime-ish. Great perfomance!

  • Thanks F. In fact I use this fast impro to improve my fingering skills. I´m trying to catch the feel of an old Dave Laibman composition called "Coloured Aristocracy". Initially Laibman geniously arranged this swift fiddle tune at the guitar. Stephan Grossman has made an early recording of the tune back in the 70´s
