Armagetron Advanced Game Trailer

Armagetron is a multiplayer game in 3d that attempts to emulate and expand on the lightcycle sequence from the movie Tron. It's an old school arcade game slung into the 21st century. Highlights include a customizable playing arena, HUD, unique graphics, and AI bots. For the more advanced player there are new game modes and a wide variety of physics settings to tweak as well.

The music is a re-edit of "ALERT!: Restricted Mainframe Access", which is inspired by and written for Armagetron Advanced.

Just wondering, but are there any other game modes besides elimination mode? I would think by now there would be a CTF game mode...is there?

@MAT0R0 Yes, CTF was added to the game a few years ago. There are other variations too, all of them server specific. There is a racing mode, and games with different shaped areas, obstacles, mazes -- even a server with shooting. There is a very popular lightcycle team game called "Fortress" which has a monthly tournament starting back in 2006 I think. The 50th Fortress event is in a few weeks.

@vMattmcd you mean it "is" awesome. Did you know there is a tournament that brings together over a hundred players every month? Not to mention the tournaments every other weekend. This game is still very, very active. ;)
