@jesse0576 What's the purpose? You build massive engines yet they produce such a small amount of power (when compared to European engines). Seems pointless.

@Dodo251 Because we can. There's no replacement for displacement. Little baby engines can make horse power but are short on torque down low where it counts for acceleration. I had a British friend ask the same question once and it boils down to the fact that in the UK the roads are very twisty and cars are built for handling, here in the states we have long straight stretches of roads which are perfect for drag racing. The larger the engine the easier it is to make tq down low for acceleration.
