Germany's sweetheart Sylvie van der Vaart joined shoppers in Munich's famous Karlsplatz to create a breathtaking piece of interactive art inspired by Kinect. State of the art technology allowed shoppers to take control of the iconic Stachus gate; bringing the ancient medieval structure to life by jumping, dancing, waving and gyrating. Kinect - you are the controller.

Deutschland's Liebling Sylvie van der Vaart kam zusammen mit Einkäufern auf München's bekannten Karlsplatz und kreierte atemberaubende interaktive Kunst inspiriert von Kinect. Hochmodernste Technologie ermöglichte den Einkaufslustigen, Kontrolle über das ikonische Stachus Tor zu übernehmen und das historische, mittelalterliche Bauwerk zum Leben zu erwecken durch Hüpfen, Tanzen, Winken und Kreisen. Kinect -- du bist der Controller.

I think one should only spend money on concepts like these, if they get their act together and start producing decent gameplay combined with graphics that next gen worthy.

So far none is the case. As far as I'm concerned that means not my money on such shallow, moronic, marketing wannabe hipster products. Maybe it'll mature over time??

The problem with this event was that it didn't actually use the Kinect

Very very cool marketing. But all it is is an interactive screensaver using simple motion and projected onto a building... these sort of 'revolutionary' interactive screensaver things have been available for the PSEye on PS3 since launch, some of which are actual games with an objective! I'm just sayin... Still I love outdoor marketing like this! You have to hand it to Microsoft for going out of their way to make people believe that this is something new that only they are doing.
