This film was shot by Eugene D. Sellers of Berkeley, CA in the mid to late 1930's. It shows a CCC camp worker being evacuated by an Army Air Corp Curtiss B-2 Condor Bomber. Also notice parked on the field a Lockheed Vega in passenger configuration. This flying field is believed to be on the west side of Yosemite National Park, but it's exact location is unknown. The patient is believed to come from a CCC camp located close to Tuolumne Meadows. The best guess is that it was CCC camp CA-NP-17, Crane Flat YNP-3. Any definitive comments on these statements would be appreciated.
SF,
The music was added by the son of the man who filmed this scene when he first transferred it to VHS. He told me that he was just adding music that reflected the times. I think the more important thing is to find these historical pieces and get them out there for others to see and appreciate. I have a few more of these types of historical scenes that I will try to get uploaded when time allows.
