I just love my combat boot
Though my life is the price,
When marching on for the loot
Of Bush, Dicky and Miss Price.
Loaded on armored car
It would take me miles afar
For our noble legacy
Of delivering democracy
There's something or some magic
Around those desert boots
Even Bremer who was civic
Loved having them on his routes
Rummy wearing the same stuff
Sneered, then, with a cough
"it's freedom" told the press
Stuff happens, but no progress!
Oh I love my combat boot
When going on with my mission
To kick, insult, cuff, or shoot
Or visiting sans permission!
Whether rain or storm
Loyalty is the norm
Even if I am ied-blown
Those boots will still be on
But stuff happens as Don said
Yes, it did, 4 thousands times
And should I come to such an end
My boot will set the chimes
So, buddies, go home intact with your boot
Better home with, scars and some soot
Than ending up on grief stands
Or be a trophy in someone's hands!!
