My automatic is slightly faster than yours for 0-100km. I'm pretty sure...and i'll have to check again...but I think with the tiptronic sports auto-tranny, I can hit 100km/h in 2nd gear, which saves a lot of time as you don't have to shift gears...and don't start lower on the power band at the same time.

No its not: the e86 3.0si manual (6speed) does 5.7sec 0-100km and the e86 3.0si 6speed automatic does 6.0sec 0-100km. The SMG has the same gear ratio's as the manual afaik, so no difference there.

Maybe with the E85 automatic (5 speed automatic) you can shift later, but specs are worse: E85 3.0L manual (6speed) 0-100km: 5.9sec versus E85 3.0L 5sp automatic 0-100km: 6.2sec

The SMG E85 has also same gear ratio's as manual afaik.
