Spore - How to switch your philosophy in Space

To change your philosophy to that of another alien race simply follow these two steps.

(1.) Forge an alliance.
(2.) Your ally must have 9 colonies.

That's it, nothing else matters. Rep doesn't matter, missions do not matter, nothing but those two things factor in.

How do you allow an alien colony to expand? Simple waiting is all it takes. I estimate 15mins give or take. Just play the game or simply wait it out, they will spread. (Terraforming surrounding planets 'might' help.)

can you have more than one super ability??

@GohanDaBest Yes. You need to have the Spore Galactic Adventures expansion set up so that you can make a space captain. When your captain gains all 4 parts in a single philosophy you will get that philosophy's power in your space game. Since your captain can only get 10 parts that means only 2 bonus abilities, plus your original 1.

What does changing the philosophy do anyway?

@viciokas1993 There are a few subtle differences but the big ones to note are the special abilities you recieve. For example, Scientists will get a gravation wave that can level an entire planet, while Traders get Cash Infusion that instantly makes a sale go through so you can buy a planet in seconds.

@FraustDogger i still don't understand how i got naturally a scientist, but it's great for expanding an empire!! you can level annoying tribes and civilizations.

@iwsafn Buy a monolith from an alien species and drop it on a planet to uplift a tribal civilization. You got Scientist because you made two red and two blue choices in your evolution (carnivore/adaptable/industrio­us/military would be an example of red/blue/blue/red)

Ok got two questions;

1. I transfer the save data and gave a lot of problems. How? started the game says there is an error. Anyways i keep trying by reinstalling, same result. Until I install GA and worked. But only one thing is still and error is that when I click the history botton it freezes Spore, it opens the history window on spore but it freezes. Anybody can help?

2. How can I change philosophy when I have one. My ally has 9 or more colonies but still I cant change.

How do you know what the other race's philosophy is?

Being a knight is by far the best.

you can get the empire to attack someone then help in the fight by fighting the ships while the emprie takes the cities

If you steal spice from on Civ. Planet and sell it to other races you can get lots of money...

is this only for Galactic Adventures?Cause i just have Spore no GA.
