John Stossel observes that even the poor and ignorant are better off under free markets than under regulated or planned economies. He asks, too, about what made America prosperous, contrasting the US with India and Hong Kong.
Stossel is absolutely awesome. He is so correct about economic prosperity being driven by just a few simple concepts: Private Property rights, and freedom (incl. from govt. planning, over-regulation, over-taxation, subsidies, etc.)Since these things were protected by the US Constitution, free enterprise/capitalism happened naturally, as it does anywhere that these concepts are in force. That is why Progressives hate the constitution, because it naturally gives rise to capitalism.
