  • Same damn Jim Powers/"Local jobber" tag match formula: Powers dominates the match, tags in his loser-of-the-night, said loser barely gets to twist an arm before getting a royal thrashing for the remainder of the match.

And this always happened whenever Powers was in a tag match. You'd think he'd learn to never tag out.

  • Funny that we don't realize that when we are kids. Same things goes for veteran wrestlers like SD Jones or Lanny Poffo when the are in tag teams it's always the other who gets pummels the most and pinned.

I met Jim back in 03 at the pro wrestling hall of fame show in Schnecedty, NY. The main reason he was stuck in matches like this was because Paul Roma was a back stage stooge, and he and Roma didn't get along. Roma used his "Stroke" to A, get a push, and B, to bury guys like Jim, Tito Santana, and anyone else in order to move up the ladder.

  • Nice to see that attitudes have changed in America to the extent where they don't cast people from Samoa as spear carrying, head shrinking weirdos - I do believe that eventually, the manager, Afa, had a bone through his nose and would stand at the side of the stage eating raw fish.... Yep; America has really moved on!

  • The Headshrinkers were the Grandsons of High Cheif Peter Maiva. Afa and Sika.

  • or those that had the opposite luck (Bob Emory, Z-Man) who would get tagged in and were the ones always getting pinned

  • I think Powers jobbed to about every Superstar he ever worked with in WWF. LOL, Powers was a Jobaholic! LMAO!
