sorry, i am not laos, I just interest in laos culture. I use to have a laos ex gf. I always give people respect if they respect me. I don't like people who talk trash.
@Nobodyknow Thank u 4 u'r replied; I can tell that u r smart young lao teen, & i think that u will grow up to be good/productive person! Many young lao children immulate black pple pop culture, wearing bagy pants, lazy, talk trsh, disrespect their elders/parents; they're completely lost their self identity!! Our lao culture, traditions, etc., r belong to young pple. Eventhough, my children r only 8&10yr old, i'm very worry of what I amseeing!!
@phetlao Hi I am sorry to hear that, and as a next generation of Laotians being only 16 years old. I am able to say i speak fluent Lao. I was born and raised and the U.S too. Hopefully in the future, Lao Lan Xang will come back :)
@khonglao I see that you are a person who has a very good artistical abilityand a keen artistical assessment skills. I like constructively analyze and critise!!
@Nobodyknow thank you very much for sympathize with my sentinmental. Your country and Khmer pple are always friends to Laos as in the past, and present; The Khmer Princes was a queen of Laos pple during the golden age of Laos, Lan Xang era. Last century, Thai killed laos King, and this century, communist killed the last King, he was the last decendant of Khmer princes and Lao King Jao Fa Nguum. This song is about the symbolic flowers(Jampa) of Laos, and It signifies the disappearing of Laos.
@phetlao I understand how you feel..I have a daughter myself that don't speak Khmer. We do all we could to get them to speak their own language mother language, but as they born/raise in America they don't care about there culture or religion anymore. Orrawee have a very beautiful voice I love her song. I don't understand what she saying in the music but I heard the phrase sound like Khmer..something about midnight moon or something. correct if I'm wrong.
I am very delightful that Ms. Orawee had chosen one of the very most legendary Lao songs called Duang champa. This song describes about the emergence of the Lao kingdom, the beauty of the Lao nation and its people. There have been many popular singers in Thailand that had chosen to sing this song, but no other singers can comparatively sing like Ms. Orawee because of her:
The voice of an angel singing the song of my homeland. :) Fills my heart to hear such a beautiful rendition of this wonderfully poetic song.
