High School Walk Out to protest NYPD Banana Kelly hs BxNY

On may 18 a off duty NYPD officer shot and killed Fermin Arzu of Honduras. Fermin was unarmed and shot from behind by officer Raphael Lora, who claimed the thought Arzu had a gun.

Now students walk out and protest at the Fort Apache station in the south bronx.

I think what they're saying is the punishment should fit the crime.

In this case it simply did not.

Ofcourse he did something wrong, D.U.I is a serious crime. One that he should've lived to be punished for.

However, If you put some thought into it...and try to picture the situation if that young woman would've been a white young man from a more/less suburban community,parents make 100k...this protest wouldn't even have been needed.....

If a family member of mine was "murdered" by a police officer, I would look at what the family member did wrong first, not the cop. You do the crime, expect consequences. This is not a lawless society, either you obay the laws, or you get arrested. You break the law in an extreme case, then that's your life...
