very clever~ this collections shouts perfect colour combinations, lining, texture despite normal cutting. It's great plus wearable. Mr. Valentino, please go and train and pass your creativity to the young ones. We need your creativity and your fashion sense! I haven't bought any of your dresses!!

I dont think his leaving was all his own idea. After he had to sell the complany to do some finanical problems a few years before, he and the new owners Marzzoto did not get along well. You can see that in the documentary. So yeah he might have wanted to retire but for the most part I believe (and so do many many others) that he was sick of Marzzoto and just wanted everyone else to believe that he felt like reitring.

Tragic. Simply Tragic. The collection itself is .. incredible. Nothing more then that. The fashion world is going to ( and is ) missing Valentino. no doubt. He's Fabulous.
