Prince compared to MJ is on a POP standard not Funk, overall Rick James> than Prince. Prince is overrated you can buy his cd's on ebay for pennies, try buying Bustin outt L7,Throwdown,Glow, Cold Blooded, The Flag, Urban Rhapsody on ebay you won't find it for less than $30.00! That's how great and collectible the sound of Rick James is!

@veeseee128 Ok... now this is funny because "Punk Funk" was something that Rick James came up with and nobody else called their music like that. Prince is considered as the creator of so called Minneapolis Sound, sometimes called also as Minneapolis Funk. And that's how it is

rick was good but he didnt blow up like prince. prince took punk funk to the next level.
