Okay, I used the Tresseme protecting straighten and hold spray. That's it.

Well, I blowdried it first - the before pic is pretty gross. If you've seen any of my other hair vids, you'll remember/know that I have rediculously strong, wiry, coarse AND curly hair!! So, to get it to the 'before' status is a big deal in and of itself.

I have my BabyLiss Pro straightener set on its highest temperature, and usually only need one slow pass. I LOVE my BabyLiss. It's awesome. Had it nearly 3 years, now!

What else to say... oh, near the end, when you see me run my hands over my hair and then redo sections..? I'm feeling to see whether it's straight/flat or whether there are still kinks/curls around somewhere. Serioulsy, the BEST way for me to do that is by touch, not by sight.

My aim is still to grow my hair out (hence the roots) so I'm trying not to get to the hairdresser's too often, but I SO need to get my colour refreshed and my roots seen to, so be on the lookout for another hair/style/colour update soon.

Any questions? You know where to reach me.

*hugs*

  • my hair doesnt even bounce like yours when i straighten it! :((( i think i fried it

  • Oh, how totally frustrating! Does your straightener have selectable heat settings? You might find you need to set it at a lower temperature or - here's the shocker - you might need to do what I ended up having to do, and have your fried bits all cut off!!! Hopefully not, though.

  • u have amazing volume!

  • I know - that volume has been the bane of my life - and believe you me, this is how much 'volume' I still have after it's been all thinned out! My hair texture is very coarse/wiry, and curly too so... yeah.

  • great to see you back Vasthi, hair looks great!!! Carol

  • Hey Carol - great to be back. Has been a hectic few months. All's back to some semblance of normal now. See, I told you my SIL's hair stylist was good! I need to go back, tho, and get the colour refreshed/lightened, and get my roots covered.
