Damon Salvatore and Elizabeth Bennet ft Katherine Pierce Part 1: Or are we Ashes and Wine?

Read for storyline:

Elizabeth arrives at the Salvatore house to visit her childhood friend Stefan and his father Giuseppe, she has no idea that his older brother and her dear friend Damon has arrived home after serving in the confederate army, they are both very pleased to see eachother.
Elizabeth and Damon grow closer over her visit and Damon entertains the thought of proposing to her. Damon asks for his fathers advice on the matter, who responds by telling him that he should wait a while, until Elizabeth comes of age. When Elizabeth leaves, she feels certain that Damon will show his feelings to her upon her next visit.
A few days later the Salvatores welcome another guest, a lady by the name of Katherine Pierce, Stefan and Damon are instantly intrigued by her.
Katherines wild spirit and flirtatious personality captures the two brothers, and Stefan acts upon his feelings, but Katherine seems more interested in Damon and she begins her mission to make him fall in love with her.
Elizabeth pays another visit to the Salvatores and meets Katherine, Elizabeth instantly knows that Katherine is not who she seems to be and she begins to fear for the brothers.
Elizabeth and Damon spend time together, but he seems to be distracted by Katherines brazen flirting and seductive behaviour towards him, Elizabeth later confronts him about this but he denies it saying that "he would never think of Katherine in that way as she is more like a sister to him", to prove this point he passionately kisses Elizabeth, but she pushes him away, she is upset as he has never been that forward with her, she feels as she is losing the sweet, gentlemanly Damon that she once knew.
After Elizabeth leaves Damon gives into Katherines demands and falls under her spell, but he doesn't entirely forget Elizabeth for when Katherine goes into town to but dresses for the ball the Salvatores are hosting, Damon visits Elizabeth apologising for his ungentlemanly behaviour and he also invites her to be his guest at the ball, Elizabeth agrees somewhat reluctantly.
As Elizabeth is readying herself before the ball, she admits to her sister Jane that she is not looking forward to seeing Katherine Pierce there, she tells her sister that she believes that Katherine has something to hide, Jane doesn't belive that, she believes that Elizabeth is jealous of Katherine and Damons feelings for her.
At the ball Elizabeth cannot seem to find Damon, that is until she walks in upon Katherine and Stefan dancing together and she sees Damon is on the sidelines staring with intense jealoosly at his brother, he does not seem to notice that Elizabeth is there and so she flees quite upset.
Outsidethe house Katherine confronts Elizabeth, telling her to leave Damon alone as he is with her now, Elizabeth vows that she will win Damon back, Katherine is just about to attack Elizabeth revealing herself to be a Vampire. When Damon enters the scene, he sees Katherines demon face but Elizabeth notices that he doesn't seem shocked or scared or repulsed by it, instead he just takes Katherines arm and leads her away saying not a single word to Elizabeth.
Later that night Jane wants to know what happened at the ball, Elizabeth fearing for Damon lies to Jane and tells that she and Damon danced all night.
As she lies in bed, Elizabeth knows what she must do but she is not exactly about it, she knows that Damon will never forgive her, and she feels quite conflicted, does she do the right thing and risk Damon never speaking to her again? or does she keep Katherines secret knowing what she truly is?.
The next day Elizabeth goes to the Salvatore house to try and find Damon so that she can convince him that Katherine is dangerous, but whilst looking all over the house for him, she comes across Damon and katherine together in his bedroom.
Elizabeth goes back home shocked, she still cannot decide what to do about Katherine, that is until the next day she recieves a visit from Damon and Katherine, Katherine tells Elizabeth with glee that she and damon are going to leave Mystic falls, Elizabeth simply cannot let that happen.
So Elizabeth decides to talk to her sister Jane about her dilemma, but she makes no mention that Damon is involved, and Jane iin turn advises her to seek out there Uncle Jonathan Gilbert on the matter as he is an expert.
Elizabeth visits her uncle Jonathan and over dinner she tells him what she told Jane, he tells her that the founding council are at the moment investigating cases of suspected vampirism in Mystic falls and he urges her to think about helping them.
As she is walking home through the woods Elizabeth comes to a halt for in the distance she sees Katherine Pierce approach a stopping coach, the two men disembark and to Elizabeth's horror Katherine kills the both of them, but her horror turns to shock as she notices that Damon is with her and she can only look on in grief and anger as she watches Katherine kiss Damon with her bloody mouth.
