In regular cloth, the biggest no-no for inserting grommets is punching holes. This is not fraying cloth, so it matters little, but if you want your grommets to actually hold, don't punch holes in your fabric!

thanks! but i still don't know where to get the grommet tool (I know where to get the grommets but not the tool)-is there any chance to do it w/o it?
