5 December 2008,Sandakan. The Chinese Co-ordinating Committee of St. Mary's Catholic Church organized Appreciation Night for their faith educators serving in the Sunday school, Children's Liturgy and the RCIA. About 150 people including some 50 educators attended the function. The committee also took the opportunity to celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of Fr. Paul Lo's ordination. A departure from the previous years, this time the occasion was celebrated in a restaurant. Fr. Paul Lo thanked the committee for their thoughtfulness in recognizing the contributions from all the faith educators for their sacrifices. He was expressly thankful to see many young people offering their service in the Sunday school and praised the senior teachers for their efforts and fore-sightedness in training future teachers. He also commended those who have been serving for many years as animators for the RCIA. Fr. Paul Lo also presented gifts to the young teachers as a token of his appreciation and thanks.
