LightJunction.com previews NiteCore Infilux IFE1 XP-G R5 LED Flashlight. Infilux series flashlights feature a smart ring with unlimited modes! You can get infinite output ranging from as low as 0.1 lumen to 285 lumen by simply rotating the smart ring control! Infilux product line has IFE1 (one CR123 battery), IFD2 (two AA batteries), and later IFE2 (two CR123 batteries). Similar to SureFire T1A Titan Variable-Output LED flashlight, IFE1 offers much high max output at 285 lumens, versus only 70 lumens from Surefire Titan. Infilux also offers strobe mode. IFE1 truly redefines EDC (Every Day Carry) flashlight.

  • I wouldn't consider getting a 1x123 light like the IFE1 because of the inability of a single 16340 to yield good regulation (esp. flat one).

The IFE2 would be a better alternative if it promises good regulation with either a single 17670 or 2x16340.

The IFD2? Probably reduced output with 2xAA. For maxium performance, use of 14500/14670 (with optional spacers) is necessary.

  • IFE1 does support single 16340. We will revise our website to reflect it.

  • @lightjunction You really mean compatibility with 3.7V RCR123 eh?

Of course the light is compatible, but an RCR123 has so little capacity, even with flat regulation runtime will be quite short. That's why a 2x123-length battery tube is always much preferred, beczuse a single 17670 does give better performance and runtime. Which means, an IFE1 head assy with the IFE2 body would be quite a terrific combo.

  • @yazkaz Yes, I really mean compatibility with 3.7V RCR123. :) But I don't have the runtime data yet.

IFD2 will be next, IFE2 doesn't have a date yet. I agree that an IFE2 with IFE1 head will be terrific.

  • Thanks for the preview! I'm waiting anxiously for this light!

Can you please post its dimensions?
