Zachary has started Conductive Education, an intensive and integrated therapy/education program. It pushes him to his limits and challenges him to overcome his physical obstacles. The program has helped Zachary immensely in just 5 weeks, but it is a struggle. This video shows how hard it is for him at times during the program. It is once a week for 5.5 hours. I wrote a blog about it at http://newsnate.blogspot.com

  • Glad to see Zag in CE. Is he also doing HBOT?

    Daniel's mom

  • @walkingdan we did HBOT for a bit when he was really young, just the "light" HBOT (no 100% oxygen). It was all right, but just a bit costly and time consuming. Wish we could do it more though

  • @ncharlan I agreed that the HBOT is too costly considering they are not covered treatment and that why Daniel still has not try it yet. Have you consider buying a chamber for home use? I notice Zag is making progress, do you feel CE has quicker progress or HBOT?

  • @walkingdan We've considered buying a chamber, but mortgage, medical payments and other gets in the way. We'd really have to do a focused fundraiser to get it done. We would also love to bet a quadriciser. A man could go broke with all the gadgets out there for our kiddos. We definitely feel that CE has made a quicker improvement in development and progress than HBOT. Same with Anat Baniel Method.

  • My little one does this during therapy too. On a good day! Sometimes he just shuts down and fakes like he went to sleep until his therapists or teachers go away!

  • @FeliciaDG1 that's funny! I wish I could do that with my boss : )

  • oh sweety baby!!! just like mine ))

  • @reneMvalencia thanks for the info! We are trying to find a local place for hippotherapy (we're in Colorado). We do get services for PT, OT and speech, but do our best to "go the extra mile" with intensive therapy like Conductive education. Congrats to Brian on his success with weight-bearing!

  • @mishazazie It's so great to hear from you again! You'll have to send us an email to give us a full update on your and Misha! I know that therapy can be hard when they cry, but it is for the best overall care for them in the future.
