I bricked my router trying to update the firmware to DD-WRT. I upgraded then it just stopped working and I couldn't get a ping. I was looking everywhere to figure out how to fix it. I finally found a way myself to fix it and now I wanted to show you all. Any questions just send me a message. Thanks.

  • YOU FORGOT SOMETHING: IF YOU ARE USING WINDOWS 7 YOU FIRST HAVE TO GO TO THE CONTROL PANEL, THEN TYPE PROGRAMS AND FEATURES INTO THE SEARCH BAR, AND TURN ON THE TFTP UTILITY.

  • Damn wont work, I can ping it and everything. When i turn my WRT54G2 on i can get the lan and internet light to come on like it normal would. But just the power light isn't coming on. Please someone!! help here!!

  • Thanks Your vid help a lot keep it up you know what your doing I have a WRT54G v6 and it work like a charm keep it up.....

  • You are the man!!!!!!! it works now.. thanks!!

  • Hey, I have the same router(WRT54G2 v). I'm running off a Linux base OS, I'm pretty sure you could do the exact same thing to get it working on a Linux OS. But my question is when your router got bricked and you tried reconnecting the power cord, did all the led lights stay on or blinked at all?? Because when I plug in my power cord, the router seems to stay on for a couple of seconds(approximately 3sec.) Then all led light turn off??

  • I 've got a doubt since this isn't working for me. How do you know when your device is bricked? Mine seems to be working just fine(you can even connect via wireless) but i can't access it through my browser(the connection gets rejected). When I try to use tftp following your instructions i just get three errors and that's it! Any ideas?
