Mandy was my only friend that was at the airport to wave me good bye. She was the only one who knew the truth. For now, at least. My heart ached having to leave with out seeing the rest of my friends. Along her side, was my mom and dad. Mom kissed my cheek, then started tearing up. Denise comforted her, while my dad came up and kissed my forehead.
"Good luck out there kiddo. I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you too dad."
I hugged him, then let go. Mandy took a step forward, hands in her pockets, and her head down.
So, I guess this is it, huh Lee? This is goodbye.
Ramos, I dont think therell ever be a good bye between the two of us.
She looked up and grinned at me. She took her hands out of her jackets pockets, and threw them around me. I hugged her back, and felt a tear sink thru the shoulder of my jacket. She giggled, then apologized. I told her not to worry, and that Ill be fine. I gave mom and dad one last hug, and made my way to Joes side.
"I guess we have to go. Our flights in a few minutes, and we still have to check our bags in."
Kevin said shrugging. I nodded, and smiled at my best friend. She flashed her grin that I loved to see, straight at me, and blew me a kiss. I blew one back, and turned around to walk into the airport.
Half of ride was way less than boring. Maybe because I was in the middle of Joe and Nick. If you havent seen these two argue about airplane peanuts before, youve never seen an argument between Nick and Joe. Then, I started to wonder...
Hey, dont you guys have a private jet?
Nick shoved a handful of peanuts in his mouth, and nodded. Joe looked up at me from his iPod, and said,
"Yup."
He looked back down, and I rolled my eyes.
"Well?"
"Recession."
I laughed at the thought of the Jo Bros being affected by the recession. I guess it affects everyone, and no one can avoid it.
The rest of my flight was Nick eating more peanuts, then ordering around a dozen more Coke lights. We arrived the house a few hours after our arrival at LAX. If you can call it a house. If you ask me, its more of a mansion.
Denise showed me into my room, and asked Big Rob to help bring my bags up. I was looking around the light blue room. I spotted a huge flat screen against one wall, then I looked at the huge bed. I slowly made my way to the balcony, and paused. I stared into the bright green trees planted in the backyard, then into the clear blue sky. Then, another shade of bright blue caught my eye.
A boy around my age with light brown hair, and bright blue eyes, was standing on the balcony facing mine. He was leaning on he edge of the rail, looking down. His eyes were so bright and hypnotizing, that I couldnt look away. He was the type of guy my friends would see, and then start spelling out H-O-T, while Mandy and I would just laugh at how low their jaws would drop. He spotted me, and let out a chuckle. He gave me a wave, and I grinned back. He pointed to my room behind me, and I turned around.
Nick was standing at my doorway, with a smile on his face. I walked up to him, and giggled.
"Is your room to your liking Linley?"
"This is off the chain. Howd you know I like blue?"
"Well, we have our ways."
I giggled, and made my way over to the huge bed against my wall. I climbed up, then started jumping up and down. I started laughing, and Nick laughed along. I slowed down, and Nick shook his head with a smile.
"Have you seen the best part? Well, I think the Mac, the T.V. and the rest of the gadgets are the best part, but Sel and Demi said youd find it awesome."
"Okay, show me what the celebs think is awesome."
He opened a door beside the desk where my brand new Mac desktop stood. Final Cut, I thought. Video editing would definitely be awesome on that. He walked in, and I followed.
"You know, its pretty weird how you didnt freak out when I said Demi and Sel were in here."
"Well, I found out I had four brothers. Who happen to be the Jonas Brothers. Who also happen to be famous rockstars. I guess my freak meters running on empty now."
"Then I'd guess you wouldnt freak if you found out that they decorated half of this, out of boredom."
"Cool."
Wow, you are on empty."
He chuckled, and gestured his arm to the room, which we were now standing in.
It was a bathroom with a huge bathtub and shower on the other side. The bathroom mirror was surrounded with bright light bulbs, that made it look like a dressing room mirror. It somehow reminded me of Sharpay, except there was no pink in sight. It was a cream colored bathroom, with amazing lighting.
Why do I look I lighting? Because my friends and I usually make videos and post them online. And since I direct, act and edit all of it, every detail bugs me. Sure, sure, laugh now. But youll be the ones crying when you watch a low quality video on YouTube.
"Woah."
I said, with my jaw dropping. Nick chuckled and shook his head.
