I hate to bring it up, but Alexander Scourby adds to 1 John 2:18 and also 2:22. I don't know if it was intentional. It just serves to illustrate that King James Bible believers must always be vigilant, and make sure to check out things.
You NEED to know your King James Bible! The WRITTEN one! It is the most important physical posession you own!
I'm shocked! Shocked! Mr. Scourby added "an" twice! Wow. If those two little errors are the only errors made by Mr. Scourby while reading the entire Bible, that's pretty darn good. While reading aloud, many people accidentally make errors. The phrase "only human" comes to mind.

I'm fortunate to read the NT Bible in the original Greek using the Wescott & Hort Text and the OT Septuagint, but I still prefer a King James Narrative (Byzantime text) by Alexander Scourby. Folks, in spite of what some people say, there are not any REAL differences in the various texts. There's less than a handful of sentences that are of any controversy, and they really don't have any doctrinal implications. This should not be a divisive issue for Christians.

@AfiDipsy If I want to get myself a copy of the word of God where can I get it? I wonder why God is incapable of giving people the Bible in their own language rather than languages that are scarcely known today. What man taught you the nonsense that you need to know Greek and Hebrew to read the Bible?

@AfiDipsy Oh look, another Christian who wants to be the authority rather than submit to God.

This guy is a complete idiot! Well, all kingJames Onlyists are! KingJames uses the Pagan 'easter' to replace 'passover'. There's no excuse. The context is talking about pleasing the Jews, therefore the word 'passover' should've been used. Acts 12:3,4 King James is riddled with bad translation errors. Wake up! God's Word is preserved in Greek and Hebrew, not English. It's the most stupid dogma to perpetuate that King James is inspired by God. Besides the 1611 has been changed over & over..

Scourby's rendering is just as correct when using the indefinite article. Context usually determines if the article remains or is omitted. I think this is straining out a gnat.

I'm going to need you to list the contents of the entire library behind you so that I can copy them down and acquire them myself. ;) Good job brother. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you!

Is Scourby changing a adjective to a noun? antichrist (referring to a behavior?) to a specific person (an antichrist).

saying "an antichrist" would mean a single being but "antichrist" would mean a spirit effecting many beings, is the looking out for "an antichrist" error when there is already "many antichrist"? i think the potential for deception on a grand scale may have been already played out because of single word changes of verse such as this, oh how subtil lol. Good find Husky394xp.

Did adding the "an" change the meaning for you as to what the sentence was saying?
